Calvary Children’s Ministries

*Nursery – 0-3 years
Explorers are 2 & 3 year olds who often go to the library for a short time of stories and songs.

*Kids Club – 4 yrs-2nd Grade- Rooms #53&54
Kids split into two age groups and rotate between watching & discussing the DVD series “What’s In The Bible with Buck Denver” and an activity time

Following the Worship Service from 11:00-12:00 are Calvary Connection Classes (during the school year)

CALVARY CONNECTION CLASSES 2018

  • “Jesus Through Middle Eastern Eyes: Cultural Studies in the Gospels” This Connection Class will work through the book with the same title by Kenneth Bailey.  It will examine the life and ministry of Jesus with attention to the Lord’s Prayer, the Beatitudes, Jesus’ relationship to women, and especially Jesus’ parables with an eye towards gaining a deeper understanding of the person and significance of Jesus within his own cultural context.  (Leader: Marc Bauer-Workroom)
  • Christ- Centered Parenting: Do you ever feel ill equipped to talk about the cultural issues of our day? Designed to help you lead your children and teens in a confident and responsible way, this 6-session resource will equip you to address pressing cultural topics which children of all ages, from preschoolers through young adults, face, including: gender issues, suicide, depression, and anxiety, pornography, addiction and coping mechanisms, same-sex marriage, and singleness, dating, marriage, and divorce.   • Studying the Book of Hebrew: (Leader: Ken Lucier-Library)

Connection Hour 11:00AM-12:00PM

Learning basic truths about God through simple stories, songs, and activities.

*Preschool Class – 3-5 years Rooms #53&54
“The Gospel Project for Preschoolers” follows God’s

big story of redemption through Jesus Christ by seeing how each story in the Bible points to Jesus.

*Trailblazers – Kindergarten – 5th Grade Gym/#51/#55 “The Gospel Project for Kids” (see above) Trailblazers start in the gym for a combined group lesson. The group is then split by age for discussion, activities, and prayer
