DESCRIPTION:There will not be coffee or Calvary Connection ON SUNDAY\, JAN 1 OR SUNDAY\, JAN 8\, 2017 \nFollowing the Worship Service from 11:00-12:00 are Calvary Connection Classes: \nCALVARY CONNECTION CLASSES 2016-2017 \nSpiritual Formation: Heather Bjur(meets in library): Sacred Rhythms by Ruth Haley Barton: Spiritual Practices that Nourish Your Soul and Transform Your Life will be used. Each week we will explore and experience a different spiritual practice that leads our hearts closer to His.  Spiritual disciplines open us to God’s transforming love and the changes that only God can bring about in our lives.  This book takes you more deeply into understanding seven key disciplines along with practical ideas for weaving them into everyday life.  Each chapter includes exercises to help you begin the practices. The final chapter puts it all together in  away that will help you arrange your life for spiritual transformation. \n“Gospel Shaped Living: A Gospel Shaped Church”: Lenny Luecke(meets in Gathering Room): has a short DVD message for each lesson.  This will be followed by group discussion centered around the DVD message and the weekly Bible reading and Bible study.  The commitment is significant but the result will be transformational for your life and Calvary Church. \n“Belief: Readings on the Reason for Faith.”: Marc Baur(meets in workroom). A collection of essays from various authors compiled by Francis Collins. \n  \nCalvary Children’s Ministries \n\n\n\nWorshipHour 9:30AM-10:45AM \n*Nursery – 0-3 years\nExplorers are 2 & 3 year olds who often go to the library for a short time of stories and songs. \n*Kids Club – 4-8 years Rooms #53&54\nKids split into two age groups and rotate between watching & discussing the DVD series “What’s In The Bible with Buck Denver” and an activity time \nConnection Hour 11:00AM-12:00PM \n*Nursery – 0-2 years\nLearning basic truths about God through simple stories\, songs\, and activities. \n*Preschool Class – 3-5 years Rooms #53&54\n“The Gospel Project for Preschoolers” follows God’s \nbig story of redemption through Jesus Christ by seeing how each story in the Bible points to Jesus. \n*Trailblazers – Kindergarten – 5th Grade Gym/#51/#55 “The Gospel Project for Kids” (see above) Trailblazers start in the gym for a combined group lesson. The group is then split by age for discussion\, activities\, and prayer
